Values and Beliefs
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela
F- Faith– We walk by Faith and not by Sight! We understand that every person has his or her own “story” and understanding. Therefore, we will educate the total person in mind, body, and spirit and acknowledge the divine purpose of everyone, creating a stronger and more unified Faith community.
A – Acceptance and Inclusion – We believe that people from diverse backgrounds, experiences, traditions and beliefs will create an environment for inclusion, equity, respect and fairness that support all learners to grow in understanding and wisdom.
V – Value-We believe education is valuable and empowers minds that will be able to conceive good thoughts and ideas. These thoughts and ideas will create economic, social, emotional and spiritual freedom for the individual, family, community and larger society.
O -Opportunity – We believe that an educational environment that is innovative and flexible is important to supporting the success of all learners. Therefore, the use of a variety of teaching methods, tools, and support systems are vital.
R- Renewal and transformation-We believe that education is designed to transform individuals, communities and societies through positive change, renewed thoughts, purpose and beliefs, so that it is integrated into their daily life.
Psalm 90:17- “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!”
